Boston Celtics defeat Indiana Pacers in Game 1 of Eastern Conference Finals

The Boston Celtics are heading back to the NBA Finals for the second time in three years after defeating the Indiana Pacers 133-128 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 36 points, while Jaylen Brown added 23 points, including a clutch three-pointer to force overtime.

The Celtics jumped out to a 12-0 lead, but the Pacers fought back to take a 64-63 lead at halftime.

The two teams traded baskets throughout the second half, and the game went into overtime tied at 123.

In overtime, the Celtics took control and pulled away for the win.

The Celtics will now host Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Thursday night.
