Record-Breaking Performance at World Aquatics Championships
Ariarne Elizabeth Titmus OAM, born September 7, 2000, is an Australian swimmer who continues to make history in the pool.
Olympic Champion and World Record Holder
Titmus emerged as a force in international swimming at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where she defeated swimming legend Katie Ledecky to win the gold medal in the women's 200-meter freestyle. In doing so, she broke Ledecky's six-year record with a time of 35.640 seconds.
World Aquatics Championships Domination
At the 2022 World Aquatics Championships, Titmus continued her dominance by winning the women's 400m freestyle in a new world record time of 3 minutes 55.38 seconds. She also set a new Australian record in the women's 200m freestyle, finishing in 1 minute 53.09 seconds.

- Women's 200-meter freestyle (1:53.09)
